It only takes ONE hit to solidify a musical legacy 💯! On 1 Hit WONDERful, we highlight songs that were the SOLE hit by a given musician. To be fair, it is possible that the artists appearing on this list earned a minor hit or two, BUT for the most part, it’s that ONE hit that earned them recognition. So, in the 19th edition of 1 Hit WONDERful (2024) we dive into “Mrs. Right”, the one-hit wonder by Mindless Behavior and Diggy Simmons.
Prodigy performed the lead vocals on “Mrs. Right,” performing the first and second verses. He has ample swagger as he praises this girl. “Sassy little thing, like, like the way you talk / Heard you got the goods, go ahead, show ‘em off,” he sings in the first verse. In the second verse, he famously asserts, “London in the spring, Paris in the fall / We don’t discriminate, girls know we love ‘em all.” Still, despite meeting some good girls, he wants to know at the end of the verse, “But where she at? Where she at?” Of course, the section to beat is the chorus, performed by all of Mindless Behavior:
“Where is Mrs. Right? I gotta see her
Travel all across the world just to meet her
Get me on a flight, I gotta see her
Travel all across the world just to meet her.”
