Back with another single,“My Teachers,” Jake Paul, assisted by Sunny and AT3 (Anthony Trujillo), rather than honoring his teachers, he criticizes them. So respectful.
Jake Paul returns with more utter stupidity. Yeah, I said it. The younger Paul brother, known for his hella stupid but highly successful “It’s Everyday Bro” is back with “My Teachers.” He doesn’t do it alone, getting assists from Sunny and AT3, better known as Anthony Trujillo. The results are, well, dumb of course.
Honestly, it’s best to take “My Teachers” with a grain of salt. Jake Paul is dropping an ‘ant-teacher’ anthem, which isn’t cool ultimately, but, are we really taking him seriously? “My Teachers” is backed by a hard, souped-up beat, which is a major selling point. Another pro is Paul’s energy – he’s turned up man, particularly on that hook! What about his rhymes, are they profound? Not so much. Sunny spits on the second verse, with a respectable flow. As for AT3, he arrives for the third verse, which is silly, cliché, comical, brainless, meaningless, etc.
Final Thoughts
The good news is that “My Teachers” just misses the two-minute mark. When it comes to Jake Paul, the shorter the better. Again, this is a novel track that should be taken with a grain of salt, not particularly seriously. Yes, Paul isn’t the most likeable or mature being on planet earth, proven by his actions (and his bro’s actions) and the drama that has surrounded Team 10, but even if the messaging is ignorant, why invest the energy into someone whose proven to, um, make dumb decisions? Just food for thought.
