Ed Sheeran has no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 locked down “tighter than a drum.” Despite highly, respectable competition, “Shape of You” continues to be the track to beat.  Kendrick Lamar couldn’t even stop the infectious pop single, as his highly anticipated “Humble.” debuts at no. 2.  Don’t shed tears for Kendrick – it’s rare for a hip-hop song to debut as robustly as “Humble.” does.  Beyond Sheeran and Lamar, there are more takeaways from the Hot 100 dated April 22, 2017.
