Greer, Satisfy © Greer Wilson20-year-old up-and-coming pop artist Greer Wilson shows incredible potential on his sensually, satisfying single, “Satisfy.”

Could Greer Wilson be the next pop superstar? Perhaps.  Wilson may be aiming to be a successful pop artist, but he certainly isn’t looking to be a pop tart.  On his single “Satisfy,” he establishes himself as edgy, taking a more risqué approach. The cover art for the single confirms this, with several unapologetic poses from the Boston, Massachusetts upstart.  His twitter handle (as of publication) further confirms the persona he wishes to convey: @NextLevelBadKid. In his Soundcloud bio, it states:

Greer likes a little controversy and isn’t afraid to push buttons. As long as he can remember he was drawn to pop stars who are provocative and do what they want to do.

His single “Satisfy” isn’t for underage kids – No one admitted under 18!

“Satisfy” is produced by Jon Santana and Christian Medice. The production work is slick, firmly planted in the urban-pop vein, with electronic cues thanks to synths.  Thematically, from the jump, sex is the modus operandi.  Essentially, that’s how Greer wants to satisfy her.  He proclaims:

“I can satisfy you / You can satisfy me / What’s your fantasy, oh / What’s your make believe…”

Perhaps it’s oversimplification ultimately, yet, it’s really that simple.  On the second verse, Greer further amplifies the bedroom talk.  He paints himself as a savior of sorts – in the most sensual way possible.  He can please her:

“If you wanna do it, I can take you there, I can give it to you…”

To his credit, Wilson doesn’t come off as disrespectful or incredibly cocky. Many times, such a single as “Satisfy” might find its artist overplaying his hand of cards.  That’s not the case here, as despite being sexual, it’s not over sexual.  The chorus – the best moment –  sums up his physical desires. Simply put, he just wants to do it, that’s all!

Final Thoughts

Greer may eschew depth on “Satisfy,” but as much as he potentially pleases his boo, he pleases the audience as well.  He has a great voice, which he flaunts particularly well on the chorus.  The production work serves as fuel for the fire, giving him an excellent background to paint his sensual lyrics with.  All in all, he’s chocked full of potential.  To quote Keith Sweat, he “may be young, but [he’s] ready.” Ready for what? Pop superstardom!
