ell, SCANNING THE CHARTS is just what it says it is.  I, the quirky founder and do-it-all at The Musical Hype scans through the Billboard Charts and picks out things that catch my eye. This column isn’t extensive, but rather short and sweet.  This week, I picked out 8 notable observations from the Billboard 200 📉,  and 8 observations from the Billboard Hot 100 📉, with 🎙 Drake spending a second consecutive week atop the Billboard 200.

Billboard 200 📉 

💭 🎙 Drake tops the Billboard 200 for the second consecutive week with 💿 Certified Lover.  Sure, his numbers aren’t as robust as week one, but 236,000 units is still #winning.

💭 After debuting at no. 1 two weeks ago, and slipping to no. 2 last week, 🎙 Kanye West sees 💿 Donda stay put at no. 2.

💭 🎙 Kacey Musgraves earns the highest debut on the Billboard 200. 💿 Star-Crossed debuts respectably at no. 3.
