Bleachers, Gone Now © RCABleachers continues to build the anticipation for sophomore album, Gone Now with its fourth and final promo single, “I Miss Those Days.”

Bleachers Jack Antonoff – has been on a hot streak. Ahead of a highly-anticipated sophomore album, Gone Now, the alternative band has done no wrong.  “Don’t Take the Money” kicked things off ambitiously, followed by another winner in “Hate That You Know Me”. “Everybody Lost Somebody” kept the momentum running, while “I Miss Those Days” closes out the pre-release, promo campaign for Gone Now.  Once again, Antonoff has a knack for this thing called music.

“I Miss Those Days” reminisces on the fun, more adventurous times of the past.  Antonoff recollects during the second verse:

“Those days when I’d sit on my sister’s rooftop
Watching our city burn into the night
I’m not sure that we were meant to survive
I was sixteen in a van driving myself to Florida...”

Backing up, “I Miss Those Days” kicks off with Antonoff addressing a topic no young person growing up wants to address – getting older.  On the first verse, he sings:

“Yeah, we talk about getting older
But there’s so much we have done yet…”

The record features a bright, energetic sound, particularly on the chorus sections:

“And everyone is changing
And the storefront’s rearranging
I picked up a quarter and I just saw my face
But it’s all coming back now
Like the feeling isn’t over
Hey, I know I was lost, but I miss those days
I said la-la-la-la-la-lost, but I miss those days…”

Final Thoughts

The production is quite boisterous, particularly the signature Bleachers drums, which hit you right in the chest.  Furthermore, the enthusiasm of Jack Antonoff is a pro – his authenticity and investment is indisputable.  Ultimately, “I Miss Those Days” is another fun, enjoyable record from the band, setting up Gone Now to be a potential hit.
