Future, HNDRXX © EpicFuture pulls off a historic feat as ‘HNDRXX’ earns no. 1 on the Billboard 200, replacing his self-titled no. 1 album. 

Last week, Future took Future to no. 1.  This week, Future takes HNDRXX to no. 1.  It’s safe to say, Future is doing big things in 2017, scoring two separate no. 1 albums in consecutive weeks.  According to Billboard, the rapper’s back-to-back no. 1 albums is “kind of a big deal.” He’s a beast.  In addition to the ascent of Future, Little Big Town (The Breaker), Aaron Watson (Vaquero) and John Mayer (The Search for Everything: Wave Two) all earned top-15 debuts on the Billboard 200 dated March 18, 2017.

 

  1. Future earns another no. 1 album with HNDRXX. Interestingly, HNDRXX replaces last week’s no. 1 album, Future. Future drops to no. 2.

 

 

  1. Little Big Town debuts relatively quietly at no. 4 with The Breaker.

 

 

  1. Trolls (soundtrack) continues to pack a punch, moving from no. 10 to no. 5 this week.

 

  1. Moana (soundtrack) ascends eight spots from no. 16 to no. 8.

 

  1. Country artist Aaron Watson debuts at no. 10 with Vaquero.

 

  1. La La Land just misses rejoining the top 10. The soundtrack rises from no. 18 to no. 11.

 

  1. The Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack loses some support this week. It slips from no. 3 to no. 12.

 

 

  1. John Mayer doesn’t have the same luck with The Search for Everything: Wave Two (EP). This time, he settles for a no. 13 start as opposed to no. 2. The Search for Everything: Wave One reenters the Billboard 200 at no. 101.

 

  1. Metallica sees a boost as Hardwired…To Self-Destruct jumps from no. 37 to no. 14.

 

  1. NAV debuts at no. 24 with NAV. Yep, that’s about the size of that.

 

 

  1. Prince Royce takes FIVE to a no. 25 start on the Billboard 200.

 

  1. Alison Krauss takes a mighty tumble as Windy City slides from no. 9 to no. 29.

 

  1. The Shack soundtrack starts at no. 40 on the Billboard 200.

 

 

  1. Thundercat starts a no. 50 with Drunk.

 

 

  1. Ryan Adams drops big. Prisoner slides from no. 8 to no. 54, a 46-spot dip.

 

  1. Unfortunately for Uncle Charlie Wilson, he’s on the decline too. After being “Blessed” with a no. 7 start for In It to Win It, he free falls to no. 57.

 

  1. Broadway cast recording Dear Evan Hansen gets a sizable lift from no. 172 to no. 67.

 

 

  1. Fat Joe & Remy Ma see Plata O Plomo slip from no. 44 to no. 69 in its second charting week.

 

  1. Jidenna sees The Chief slip from no. 38 to no. 70 in its second charting week.

 

  1. Old 97’s starts at no. 82 with Graveyard Whistling.

 

  1. Leon Bridges reenters the Billboard 200 at no. 92 with Coming Home. Coming Home debuted at no. 6 when it was released in 2015.
