Ed Sheeran spends a second consecutive week at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 with his third studio album, ÷.

Ed Sheeran keeps the no. 1 spot warm on the Billboard 200.  Face it – ÷ ain’t going nowhere anytime soon.  Beyond Sheeran, there was just one new album in the top 10 – the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack.  Beyond Sheeran and Beauty and the Beast, there are many intriguing stories from the Billboard 200 chart dated April 1, 2017.

1. Ed Sheeran spends a second consecutive week at no. 1 with his third studio album, ÷.

2. For a second consecutive week, Metallica retains the no. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 with Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.

3. The Beauty and the Beast soundtrack settles for a no. 3 start on the Billboard 200.

4. Moana continues to “sell like hotcakes,” ascending from no. 8 to no. 5 this week.

12. Alison Krauss continues to plummet down the charts. Windy City slides from no. 32 to no. 67.

13. Blake Shelton sees If I’m Honest ascend from no. 100 to no. 69.

14. Frank Ocean is on the rise once more with Blonde, which jumps from no. 112 to no. 73.

15. The Shack soundtrack free falls from no. 42 to no. 84 in its third week.

16. Aaron Watson continues to drop down the Billboard 200 as Vaquero nosedives from no. 55 to no. 93 in its third charting week.

17. Valerie June debuts quietly on the Billboard 200. Her sophomore album, The Order of Time, starts at no. 111.

18. Gospel collective J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise debuts at no. 113 with latest project, You Deserve It.

19. Fat Joe & Remy Ma continue their downward slide as Plata O Plomo dips from no. 61 to no. 115.
