Ahead of latest album Brighter Future, Big Gigantic releases one last promo single, “All of Me.” “All of Me” features beastly rapper Logic and up-and-coming singer ROZES. ROZES may be best remembered for her exceptional collaboration with The Chainsmokers on “Roses.” How does “All of Me” stack up? Pretty flipping awesome.

Beginning with the production work, it’s lush by all means.  Among the brilliant touches are the synthesized horns. Amplifying the effectiveness is the chill tempo of “All of Me.”

ROZES proves her worth on the successful hook. All in all, her voice has a haunting quality, hence, blessing the hook.

“Blow your smoke to fog up the mirror
Write our name in hearts, baby I can see
That you’re into me
I need your touch, I need your fever
Take my broken heart, take all of me
Take all of me.”

The lyrics dabble in love and heartbreak…at least to the naïve listener.  Those following Logic will know that “Nikki” plays a role here. “Nikki” being nicotine.  His verse features key words related to nicotine addiction such as roll, faded, and dying.

Logic, like ROZES, shows he’s a perfect fit for this record.  His flow is top-notch, contrasting the relaxed tempo and rich production work with agile, punchy rhymes.  Swag is epitomized in Logic’s hands.  Sure, nicotine is a bit of a buzzkill, but Logic’s talents as a rapper a more than enough to light up even the glummest moment.

Final Thoughts

All in all, “All of Me” is a beautifully produced and written track. ROZES sounds superb on the hook, tricking the listener to believe the track is solely about love. Logic nails his verse, successfully revisiting “Nikki,” one of the best songs off debut Under Pressure.  The production by Big Gigantic is awesome – no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
