Banamak, Sayin Nothin © BanamakBanamak (Conner Bloyd) returns charged-up on his aggressive, confident, and thrilling new single, “Sayin Nothin.”

Could it be that Banamak (Conner Bloyd) is “Sayin Nothin’”? No, the rapper-producer is saying a lot on his latest single.  What specifically? According to the artist himself, “Sayin Nothin” is “about how people talk a lot, and say this and that, but their actions expose who they really are.” True to the nth degree.

banamak“Sayin Nothin” commences with enigmatically beautiful synths and pads.  Both are also dark, confirming the minor key. Following the intro, Banamak flaunts his excellent flow.  He’s incredibly assertive, particularly compared to his previous singles. There’s incredible confidence and swagger, particularly on an assortment of one-liners. At the same time, he manages to maintain an easy-going, West/Pacific vibe.

Regarding his vocals, he exhibits excellent clarity – he’s incredibly easy to understand. As he tears up the mic, he’s backed by superb production work.  Notably, he’s anchored by a hard beat. Naturally, it’s “fuel for the fire.” The crowning achievement of “Sayin Nothin” is undoubtedly the catchy, confident hook: “If you sayin’ nothin’ real, you ain’t really sayin’ nothin’.”

Final Thoughts

Does Banamak really say much on “Sayin Nothin?” Perhaps he’s not always transcendent per se, his message is pitch-perfect, and his performance is aggressive, confident, easy-going, infectious… HE DOES HIS THANG. “Sayin Nothin” shines from the jump and never lets the listener down.
