Beyond the hype? This creative written piece reflects on the outgoing, so-so 2017 and provides sound advice for 2018 – as told through album and song titles.

Fireworks 2018

Well, DAMN., 2017 has come to an end! 2018 is here! “…Ready for It?” “How??” in the world did this happen so quickly? “Running Back” through 2017, it had its share of “Good Times” and “Hard Times.” At times, I wanted to “Run for Cover.” It was definitely a Sweet Sexy Savage year. Although in the “Thick of It” were turbulent moments, and sometimes, I had to be “Fake Happy”, “Faking It” to the nth degree, ultimately, “I’m Blessed” and “Give Thanks” for all my “Blessings.” Regardless of the “Bad Things” that weighed down 2017, “Somethin Tells Me” that 2018 is a great opportunity to “Stay Gold” and live life to the fullest – Keep it “1000.” All I see are “Green Lights.”

Loneliness.

Lonely2017 had its share of moments where I felt “Alone” and “Invisible.” Sometimes, I was “Talking to Myself,” experiencing my own “Battle Symphony,” that was extremely “Heavy.” Is it “Too Much to Ask” for a “Best Friend”? Thankfully, I feel like “My Life” is “Gonna Be Alright” in 2018. No “Eyes Closed”, they are Wide Open.

Confirm the Love.

Hands2018 is the perfect time for Everybody to “Say Something Loving” to that special somebody you love. Show confirmation of love. No one should have to ask the question, “Do You Still Love Me?” Don’t make assumptions. “I Think She Like Me” isn’t sufficient.  Don’t you want to experience true love that’ll “Move You?”

couplePerhaps you are mustering up the courage to express your “Love” – those Hot Thoughts to “The One” you’ve always wanted to kiss on the “Lips.”  “My PYT”, “Can I Sit Next to You”?’ ‘I’m totally in love with the “Shape of You”, you’re “Perfect”, would you join me in my “Castle on the Hill”? It’s “Now or Never” after all! That some “playboy shit” right there! Don’t you dare keep the love “On Hold” any longer! Nothing wrong with a little “Love on the Weekend”, right?

Move on.

on the move‘Furthermore, if you are experiencing “Pain” because you’re “Holding On” to a past relationship, consider 2018 a great opportunity for “Moving on and Getting Over.” Face it – “Everybody Lost Somebody”. Some sound “Advice”: your “Last Text” to your “Ex” should indeed be your final goodbye.

Open up, sans substances.

weedOpen yourself up in 2018. No, not by polluting your “Bloodstream” with “Good Dope”, no matter how great the “Temptation” to smoke “Them Stems”that “Wacky Tobaccy.” You shouldn’t be in a situation where you “Can’t Walk” due to “Pills” or “Whiskey.”Take that “Mask Off” and truly “Love Yourself.”

Culture and morals.

GodAs a society, we should use the new year to build a better Culture. Too often, society “Going Backwards” epitomized the “Sign of the Times.” We all know that The Devil Don’t Sleep and “SAY10” is one “Cold Blooded” being! “Where’s the Revolution?” We Got the Power” to give this world “Back to God.”” No, we don’t all share the same religious beliefs, but I’d like to believe that “Most People Are Good.” We are focused too much on our “Bank Account” when perhaps we should be “Praying.”

Final Thoughts.

christmasPersonally, I Decided that I’d like to be “At My Best” in 2018 – I don’t want to take anymore losses“God.”, “Set Me Free” and allow me to “Glow Up”! I have such a Lust for Life and I believe “Life’s About to Get Good.”  After being Shot Down”  throughout this “Last Year”, this is my “Bounce Back” year and I’m making “Moves”. “Who’s Stopping Me” but me? I’m a “Believer” who is willing to do “Whatever It Takes.” Yes, “Changing” attitudes and habits is a Process, but it’s important to “Get Out of Your Own Way”. In 2018, I’m In It to Win It and I have faith that “Angels” are watching over me.  Everyone, I “Wish u the best” in 2018.

Let Love Rule!
