1. Justin Bieber, “Peaches”
Ft. Daniel Caesar & GIVĒON
💿 Justice • 🏷 Def Jam • 🗓 2021
Caesar and GIVĒON definitely owe Bieber you might say. Why? Both earn career-first no. 1 hits lending their awesome vocals to this joint. This isn’t a game changing record, hence why initially, I didn’t provide heaps of praise, yet the more you listen you find yourself hypnotized and wooed. In the context of Justice, Bieber loosens up (the profanity on the chill chorus), while still focused on the modus operandi, love. Both Caesar and GIVĒON devote their verses to their respective lovers ❤️. “Peaches” is definitely a tickle-fancying vibe!

2. Kevin Abstract, “Peach”
Ft. bearface, Joba & Dominic Fike
💿 ARIZONA BABY • 🏷 Question Everything Inc. / RCA • 📅 2019
“Peach” commences with an intro by 🎙 Dominic Fike. He goes on to perform the chorus, which never once mentions peaches – just throwing that out there.
“I’ll be your baby doll and your bodyguard if you tell me to I’ll try to make it all not as hard if you let me through.”
The man of the hour, Abstract, who makes his first appearance on the first verse, also fails to mention the delicious fruit. He does, however, recollect and reflect upon a past relationship, asking the question, “Was breaking it worth it in the end / If I’m just a vision you come to?” His fellow BROCKHAMPTON member, 🎙 Joba, finally mentions peaches on the pre-chorus metaphorically (“It’s all peaches and cream”), with 🎙 bearface finishing the thought (“If you left your love, I’ll be right”). Ultimately, this chill, groovy, enjoyable record, produced by a team comprised of 🎛 Jabari Manwa, 🎛 Romil Hemnani, and 🎛 Jack Antonoff, has little to do with peaches and more to do with matters of the heart.
3. Chevelle, “Peach”
💿 NIRATIAS • 🏷 Epic • 📅 2021
Soon enough on “Peach,” we get some expressive vocals, which are initially sung to a degree in an undertone – there’s subtlety. Still, listen closely to the lyrics, and it’s not all ‘peachy’ in all honesty, much like the aforementioned chorus lyrics suggest. “Little man / Little man, I guess little hands,” sings 🎙 Peter Loeffler, continuing, “Show your taste / For all the gold in nome / Gentlemen, he says, just grab that peach.” This is an instance where some speculate if Loeffler is referring to a certain ex-POTUS. We’ll leave it at that. Eventually, “Peach” ends up more dynamic, rocking hard AF. The riffs are on-point, the vocals bite (they never overreach, though), and lyrically, where the songwriting is concerned, it’s intense as well.
4. Pardison Fontaine, “Peach”
Ft. City Girls
💿 UNDER8ED • 🏷 Atlantic • 📅 2019
The peach part of “Peach” occurs on the following chorus, also performed by Pardison. As to be expected, the peach he refers to is ass – surely you weren’t really expecting fruit? “You got a peach (Peach), ass (ass), shit be looking right,” he raps, continuing, “You get to dancing in the mirror, you want some shit that get you hype.” Hmm, sounds like a booty anthem to me. This, of course, is further confirmed by Pardison as he incites ass shaking and enlists 🎙 City Girls – specifically 🎙 Yung Miami – for a guest verse. What does Yung Miami throw at us? “Let that ass hang out, bitch / All up out the window, screaming, ‘Ow,’ bitch.” Sigh. “Peach” was produced by 🎛 Wheezy. Worth noting, however, is that the record interpolates the 🎙 Mystikal hit, 🎵 “Shake Ya Ass”, which was written and produced by 🎼✍ 🎛 The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo).
5. Broods, “Peach”
💿 Don’t Feed the Pop Monster • 🏷 Atlantic • 📅 2019
Throughout the course of this superbly produced record (🎛 Tommy English being a beast), 🎙 Georgia Nott serves up plenty of contradictions and opposing things. This includes “black and white”, “hot and cold,” and “young and old,” all things that are opposites. Despite the conflicting happenings, ultimately, it’s all good/worth it or so she leads us to believe. On the bridge, she asserts:
“I know it’s hard to see me down I cry and cry upon the ground A simple price I pay for all the love I feel when I’m okay.”
Regardless of if Georgia experiences lows at times, her and brother 🎙 Caleb Nott certainly have us feeling totally “Peach” listening to this gem.
6. 88rising, Joji & BlocBoy JB, “Peach Jam”
💿 Head in the Clouds • 🏷 88rising / 12Tone Music • 📅 2018
“Peach Jam” is performed by the alternative R&B singer alongside rapper 🎙 BlocBoy JB. Per Joji, “You blessed me so damn good, I could barely stay up / Never felt a drought where you fill my cup.” Holy shit! Throw in the game by BlocBoy JB (“Got her on her knees like she prayin’ to Jesus”), and the sensual vibes are clearly undeniable. This is the perfect summer song, thriving off its chill, sexy, and soulful vibes. This short little gem definitely ‘gets down to business.’

7. Tyler, The Creator, “Peach Fuzz”
“Peach Fuzz” • 🏷 Columbia • 📅 2018
Tyler follows the chorus with one verse, featuring several memorable lyrics. “By the time we tie the knot up, Tyler, Tyler, he got caught up / Now they taking my ricotta, bunch of lawyers and ‘your honors’.” He also can’t resist indulging in oral sex: “Could you tell me how far in the future do you see us? You can make decisions while your lips graze on my peach fuzz.” TMI? Honestly, didn’t you see it ‘coming’? Hehe. Additionally, he makes a couple of shout outs to Stones Throw and 🎙 Prophet. “Peach Fuzz” is a remix of Prophet’s “Wanna Be Your Man” after all. Tyler sounds good with soulful R&B production backing him.

8. Snoop Dogg, “Peaches N Cream”
Ft. Charlie Wilson
💿 BUSH • 🏷 Columbia • 📅 2015
After keeping things relatively clean, in the context of Bush, lines like the aforementioned one sound truer to Snoop Dogg of old. I mean, like many rappers, Snoop hasn’t been shy about rapping about ‘bitches,’ if we’re being totally honest. Still, even with an increase in the innuendo and more rapping from him, a sensual cut like “Peaches N Cream” is still classier than much of his past work. And to his credit, he doesn’t refer to anyone – man or woman – as a bitch. Everything, hence is 🎵 “Peach” #Broods.

9. 112, “Peaches & Cream”
💿 Part III • 🏷 Bad Boy • 📅 2001
There’s plenty to love bout “Peaches & Cream.” First and foremost, we must acknowledge this is one of the R&B group’s biggest hits, peaking at no. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Furthermore, it features production from 🎛 Mario Winans and of course, Bad Boy entrepreneur extraordinaire, 🎛 Diddy. The lyrics are suggestive but never ultimately cross the line. Of course, 2001 was still a very different time, if we’re being totally honest. There’s an art to pulling off innuendo and 112 definitely exhibit such art superbly. So, what’s the key section that shines the brightest? That would be the chorus, of course:
“Peaches and cream I need it ‘cause you know that I’m a fiend Getting’ freaky in my Bentley limousine It’s even better when it’s with ice cream Know what I mean.”
10. The Presidents of the United States of America, “Peaches”
💿 The Presidents of the United States of America • 🏷 PUSA Music • 📅 1995
The lyrics are definitely entertaining to the nth degree. We’re informed that “Peaches come from a can / They were put there by a man / In a factory downtown.” True. Of course, if we honestly believe the band was being innocent, we’d be lying to ourselves. Front man 🎙 Chris Ballew has stated the song was written about a crush. Where the peaches come in, supposedly, is he wrote the song after sitting under a peach tree in her yard. “I took a little nap where the roots all twist / Squished a rotten peach in my fist,” he sings on the second verse, continuing, “And dreamed about you woman / I poked my finger down inside / Make a little room for an ant to hide / Nature’s candy in my hand or can or a pie.” Woo! Of course, the best part of the song beyond the ‘fingering’ is the outro:
“Millions of peaches, peaches for me Millions of peaches, peaches for free.”
